Another absolute banger from Sylvie! I won't spoil what it is, but that extra platforming mechanic adds so much complexity even though it's mostly just one additional button. It was a lot of fun to learn.

p.s. For those who felt the levels seemed too difficult. I'd recommend learning the level at half-speed. This was the first time I needed to use accessibility options for practice, and it really helped!

Wow, that is really good! I'm still processing my thought but wanted to give my compliments.

Played through the demo twice. The control and art felt spot on. My only small complaint is that the spear gun and oxygen tanks' sound/visual effects aren't as satisfying as their Metal Slug equivalent. Looking forward to seeing more of this in the future, especially once the heavy machine gun and metal slug vehicle equivalent are introduced :)

Thanks for the reply. I think I should clarify myself. After playing it some more, the randomly generated puzzles actually plays quite well (especially for H). I think the only reason I missed hand-made puzzle in other picross game is just cuz it feels satisfying to see a little picture in the end.

Good stuff if you like Picross. I especially liked the variant rules. I only wish there are some hand-made puzzles, or if there could be a way to make those.

I just want to say that the game said something I wanted to hear and made me feel a little better. Thanks! (Also, you picked some really fitting music, good stuff)

The game is well-made, but there is not much new here if you've seen explanation for how this type of non-euclidean game work behind the scene. That's nothing against the game, it's just not a magic trick that still wow me after having it explained.

Wow, thanks for the reply! I was wondering if this was a glitch since the game was technically sound everywhere else. I should have realized that it's working as intended after seeing the ending.

I think this is a bug but in the platforming gauntlet at the bottom of the hub world (the one that has a message saying it's impossible), I always clip out of bound after a few tries. The only fix is quitting the game, but after restarting and retrying a few times, the bug happens again. I added an image of this below. I just clip out every time I try to drop down from the platform on the left

Think of Gnog not as a traditional puzzle game, but as a collection of digital toys / complex puzzle boxes. You basically tinker with a bunch of them and use trial and error to make them work. That sounds kinda weird as a game, but it felt as wonderful in the same way as playing with toys as a child. Plus the superb art direction and music really elevated the experience. My only criticism it the short length and that the mouse control could use some tightening in a few places, but those are far from a deal breaker.

Not a bad concept but some of the level design can use some work.
